If something is wrong rather than merely unclear, three things get it fixed faster: your app version (the last line of the About screen), the phone and OS version, and a screenshot of the board as you saw it.

Before you write

Nine times out of ten it is one of these.

• Why is a rate different from my bank or money changer?

  The rates in PK Forex are indicative mid-market prices from a third-party market feed, converted to rupees. They are not a quote and not a dealer’s buying or selling price, so a bank, an exchange or a jeweller will always differ — that spread is how they earn. Don’t settle a transaction on our number.

• How often do the rates update?

  About once a minute, while the market is quoting and your device has a connection. Only the digits that change move, so a still board is usually a still market rather than a stuck app.

• The board looks stuck. What should I do?

  Check the device is online, then close the app fully and reopen it — the board reconnects on launch. If the numbers are still stale after that, write to us with the app version from the About screen and we will look at it.

• How is gold priced per tola?

  Bullion is quoted per tola and per gram, at 11.664 grams to the tola. Gold, silver, platinum and palladium are all shown that way, in any of the currencies the app carries. The weight screen converts between grams and tola, masa and rati in both directions.

• Can I hide or reorder currencies?

  Yes. In Settings, drag any currency or metal into the order you want, or switch it off to take it off the board entirely. Reset order puts the arrangement back without changing what is hidden. Your board is remembered on the device.

• Why do I see ads, and can I change my ad choices?

  Ads are what keep PK Forex free, with no subscription and no rates behind a paywall. In the UK and the EEA the app asks for your consent before it requests a single ad, and you can revisit that answer at any time under About → Ad privacy options.

• Do I need an account?

  No. PK Forex has no sign-up, no login and no profile — the board works the moment you open it. There is no account to delete, and removing the app removes everything it kept on your phone.

• How do I delete my data?

  Uninstalling the app deletes your settings from the device. The anonymous counts described in the privacy policy are not tied to you, so there is nothing there that is yours to reclaim — but if you want to make a formal request, write to us and we will answer it.

• Which devices does PK Forex run on?

  iOS 15 or later, and Android through Google Play — the store page will say whether your device qualifies.

• Can you add a currency, or a feature?

  Ask. The app carries 152 currencies and four precious metals today, and requests from the people actually using the board in Pakistan are the ones that get built first.

Privacy and your data
