What the app
knows about you.

The short version

• No account, no sign-up, no name, no email, no phone number.
• No amounts, ever. The app reports that someone converted USD to PKR. It does not report the sum they typed — that is their money, and an aggregate of it tells us nothing a currency code doesn't.
• No access to your location, contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone. The app asks for none of them.
• Ads are contextual. The app never asks to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and does not.
• Your board — the order of your currencies, the ones you have hidden — stays on the phone.
• Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone beyond the Google services listed below.

What the app collects

This is the whole list. It is the same list as the Data Safety form on Google Play, the privacy label on the App Store and the privacy manifest inside the iOS build — deliberately, so the four cannot drift apart.

None of it is linked to your identity, because the app holds no identity to link it to. None of it is used to track you across other companies' apps or sites.

What it never collects

• The amounts you type into Convert, or the weights you enter into the jeweller's calculator.
• Your name, email address, phone number or postal address.
• Your precise location. The app holds no location permission.
• Your contacts, photos, files or anything else on the device.
• Any record of your rates that is tied to you personally — the rates are the same for everyone.

What stays on the phone

Your display settings — the order of your currencies and metals, and which you have hidden — live in a small database on the device itself. They are never uploaded and we cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Ads, and your say in them

The board carries occasional ad cards, served by Google AdMob. They pay for a free app with no subscription and no paywalled rates.

In the UK and the EEA, Google's consent form appears before any ad is requested — not after — and the app requests nothing until you have answered it. You can change that answer at any time: About → Ad privacy options inside the app. That row appears where the consent framework says a choice is yours to revisit.

On iOS the app shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does nothing that needs one: it never asks for the IDFA and its privacy manifest declares no tracking. Your device's own advertising controls — resetting or limiting the advertising ID in iOS or Android settings — apply here as they do everywhere else.

Getting the rates to you

Rates are published to the app from our own database on Google Cloud, about once a minute. Fetching them is an ordinary network request: it carries your device's IP address, as every request on the internet does. We keep no profile of it and no per-user log of what you looked at.

Who else is involved

Google, and nobody else: Firebase Analytics for the counts above, Cloud Firestore for the rates, and AdMob for the ads. Google's own processing may take place outside the United Kingdom, under the terms they publish for those services. How Google handles data from apps that use its services is set out in their own notice .

We keep the analytics reports for as long as the app is published, and read them only in aggregate. There is nothing in them we could hand you that would be about you.

Your rights

Laldinsoft Ltd is a company registered in England, so UK GDPR applies wherever you are reading this from. You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to it being processed, and to complain to a regulator — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk .

In practice there is usually nothing to hand over: with no account, we hold nothing that identifies you. If you want to make a request anyway, write to us and say so — and if you want to stop contributing to the counts entirely, deleting the app ends it immediately.

Children

PK Forex is a general-audience app about exchange rates. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child.

If this policy changes, this page changes with it and the revision below moves. A change that alters what we collect will be described here rather than quietly folded in.
